BLUES FEST
The "Belvedere Blues Fest" has steadily been growing into the premier musical event in Southern Colorado. Next year's event will be the 7th annual and is scheduled for September 8-10, 2006. The three-day festival is always held inside a big tent behind Merlinos' Belvedere Restaurant ( 1330 Elm Avenue in Caņon City ), and no matter what the temperature is outside, it's definitely cookin' inside with hot music and food!
MEMORIAL TOY RUN
Our "Royal Gorge Country" Motorcycle Rally and fourth annual "Eddie Ossola MemorialToy Run" will be held Saturday, Sept. 9 featuring a wonderful ride through the scenicsurroundings of Caņon City ! Toys will be collected at the Blues Tent before the ride, in honor of Eddie Ossola, a local rider who was killed in a motorcycle accident in August, 2003.
The ride will include a drive over scenic Skyline Drive and a trip over the world-famous Royal Gorge Bridge before returning to the "Blues Tent" for a full afternoon and evening of music at the festival. We'll have another great selection of prizes and games for theriders! Sign up early and get in on the fun!
