YMCA Mission: to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build health spirit, mind and body for all.
The Fremont County YMCA Effort Is currently hosting several fund raising activities to Fund a Feasibility Study. The purpose of the assessment will be:
1. An assessment, on an unaided basis, of community needs and wants in terms of health, recreation, sports, childcare and youth programming throughout the service area that can be provided by a new YMCA facility and/or as outreach.
2. Identification, and the relative importance, of key programs, services and facilities that should be included so that the YMCA meets the needs of the entire community.
3. How many members can be expected at a new YMCA, and at what monthly membership rates, under a variety of different location/program/facility scenarios.
This is the next step in obtaining programs and services from the YMCA. Once the feasibility study is funded and completed, the committee along with the YMCA of Pueblo will evaluate the results and determine the next steps towards our goal for our community and the residents of Fremont County.
