Since 1973 Arkansas River Tours has been offering exceptional whitewater trips on the Arkansas River from our riverside base in Cotopaxi, CO. Visit our new location in Canon City near the Royal Gorge. Whitewater rafting is a vacation highlight for anyone visiting the Royal Gorge region and Canon City. We have trips ranging from ¼ day to 3 day adventures. Whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River is fun for all ages (about 5 years old or a minimum weight of 35 lbs) and abilities. We have trips for families with little kids and extreme adventures for those looking for the best Class IV+ whitewater in Colorado through the Royal Gorge.
Our River and Rail packages with the Royal Gorge Route Railroad combines an exciting ½ day whitewater trip through Bighorn Sheep Canyon, a riverside lunch and a scenic train ride through the Royal Gorge.
Fly fishing anglers will enjoy guided float fishing on this phenomenal Brown trout fishery. Fishing from a raft gives you access to unreachable or private stretches of the Arkansas River. We have Evening Floats, full day and overnight trips.
