Cañon City's "First Friday" unveils Public Art on Historic Main Street

It was a GREAT First Friday in Historic Downtown Canon City April 6th.  We kicked off the festivities with a large crowd watching as Rob Smith from the Fremont Center for the Arts unveiled 5 "Public Art" statues on Historic Main Street.  The unveiling was accented by the Florence drum major section giving all the pomp and circumstance needed.  The activities keep on as the Canon City Merchants Association announced Pat Wiles as the winner of the CCMA Logo and Branding Contest and reveled the artwork she had created for the Contest.  The evening went on with all our Museums and Art Galleries
